I always heard that blue eye shadow was a big no no. But i just couldnt help myself, so i got the dark dark blue from cover girl, i have brown eyes also and it looks pretty together.
Honestly, if you have dark eyes then you need to wear earth tone colors and you can accent with a pink
I like navy, it looks almost smoky and makes the eyes stand out. Try it heavy on the lid with a beige shimmer on the crease and lid, I too have brown eyes and get many compliments when I do this with the eye shadow, (also add darkest black mascara)
Light blue for brown eyes is an unflattering contrast. A navy or dark turqoise blue (for nightime) is sexy, exotic, and definately not gaudy. A good brand for a perfect blue is HIP by L'Oreal. They have this special brand that it comes in two colors. Here it is:

I wear a very light frosted lavender at the top of my lids and the middle shade in the crease of my lid. Then instead I smudge a dark purple instead of a liner pencil across the line of the eye outward toward my temple.

maybe a grey colour? if u blend a light grey/ whiter/ paler eyeshadow towards the inner eyelid then use the purple towards the outer eyelid your eyes look bigger!

If you are going to be wearing red and black I would use a black eyeliner. Then put a light pink eye shadow on your eye lid. Next use a black eyeshadow to lightly highlight the outside portion of you eyelid, (the part closes to your ears). On the inside porion of your eyelid use a med gray on the bottom part and blend it into a lighter gray going up. Use the light pink on the very top part of your lid blending it down to meet the black and gray. I think this would be brilliant with your colors. for everyday eyeshadow deffinately a shimmery lavender, this will really enhance the luminosity of your skin and your eyes. muted gold/beige/champagne color should look good as well.
For a more dramatic look go for Metallic silver, this will really make your eyes POP, and since you have been blessed with porcelain skin, you are one of the people who can really pull of a silver and rock it. Try black for the darker bit of the smokey eye, dark purple or navy blue.

Browns, greys and plums would look really pretty. Don't over do it though, less is more :) Also, curl your lashes and put on a coat of mascara, it'll look great all together.

rather than choose good colours against pale skin, always choose an eyeshadow that shows up your eyes, choose something graey, violet, taupe, purple or even dark blue!

1. put a light foundation on your eyes first to ensure that it gets rid of any redness and makes everything one color
2. put dark brown eyeliner on ur bottom lid, but not the entire lid, start in the middle and work your way to the end, after this, get gray eyeliner and lighter coat the brown
3. put mix brown and dark gray eyeshadow, it creates a nice shade that is dark with a brown to accent you eyes and put it on your lid
4 put eyeliner on your top lid, (entire top lid), first teh dark brown and then the gray
5 add mascara
it takes a couple of times to get it right if you have never done this before, so you might mess up the first or second time, but in no time you'll be doing it like a pro

I found a different combo of colors really worked I use this...
Light gold on the inner part of your eyelid
fade into a golden brown over the rest of your eye lid then add a little bit of dark green to the outer side of your eyelid and a little bit above the outer side of your eyelid
Then take the light gold and put it at the arch of your eyebrow.
Use a little bit of brown eyeliner on the bottom and a little bit at the end of your top one.
To keep it from fading use a concealer for this combo I use gold
well do the steps above but it depends on what king of budget you are on. if you can afford alot go for it and get the most expensive kind out there but if you are on a tighter budget get a cheaper brand like nyc or cover girl or something well hope this works for you:%26gt;) see ya

I would say that a lot of things go with hazel eyes. Of course browns, like you've said. Try some greens and golds, use a dry application for a more natural look and a wet application for a more edgy look or for night.

Also I've found that Nars powder blush in Orgasm looks good on pretty much everyone as a blush and eyeshadow. As a matter of fact most nars blushes, I would say try a few!

A makeup artist told me the best color to wear with what your asking is pinks.

a ligth lavender or pink-purple on the lid and brown on the lashline. add an off-white hi-liter on the brow and ur all set. you could also add some deep plum or brown eyeliner to accentuate ur eyes
We are showing Gold eye shadow for the spring- which would look good. Also our eye shimmer in tantalizing would look great. I do love our eye shadow trio in Bambi- it is in the brown family with a little shimmer.
Also you might want to try gel eye liner- in endangered- I think it would bring out more color in your eyes.

I would say that a lot of things go with hazel eyes. Of course browns, like you've said. Try some greens and golds, use a dry application for a more natural look and a wet application for a more edgy look or for night.

Also I've found that Nars powder blush in Orgasm looks good on pretty much everyone as a blush and eyeshadow. As a matter of fact most nars blushes, I would say try a few!

We are showing Gold eye shadow for the spring- which would look good. Also our eye shimmer in tantalizing would look great. I do love our eye shadow trio in Bambi- it is in the brown family with a little shimmer.

The finish is beautiful...it's very pigmented and last for agesssssssss.
you'd receive both matte and shimmer colours. It wasn't oily for me at all... you can apply it dry or a really dramatic look apply wet (but it's already HIGHLY pigmented!)
the only down side i can think of is that the shadows are pretty loosely pressed...so watch out for broken shadows.. fortunately for me, (i got mine shipped from singapore or soemthing) and only 1 was broken :)Good eyeshadow??????????

Many colors are included but the eyeshadow is totally gross. Its got this strange oily texture to it and unless you apply it wet with a mixing medium (which I don't like to do) it has barely any pigment on the eyes. The worst part about it is that it you put the eyeshadow on your skin its very hard to get off and its stains! Its gross.
I recommend if you're looking for good makeup in many different colors for cheap order sample sizes from pure luxe minerals ($1.00 a piece!). They go on beautifully and to me the quality of the makeup is that of bare minerals eyeshadow.
the brand is really good, but the colors in that palette are limited. however, if you don't wear outrageous colors, then i'd say it's brilliant for you

try h.i.p. buy a ';concealer'; or ';eyeshadow primer'; and the color will last longer and be more intense!

I have really dark brown eyes. I am looking for a good color eye shadow to go with my eyes. I also want it to last long, not disappear after an hour. Sephora.com has TONS of eye shadow choices and there are even some brands that sell palettes to compliment the color of your eyes. Some of my favorite brands are Urban Decay and MAC. If your shadow has a tendency to melt/slide off I strongly suggest using an eye shadow primer so it will stay put!

use max factor eye colours!! wet the aplicator brush then use the wet brush to apply the colour to your eyes. very very very affective!!!! give it a go.
I use estee lauder in every type of make-up.
It works and it a bit expencive but totally worth it!!
try MAC makeup it's great! max factor is the grandfather of the founders...it last and people at the counter are really helpful!
lancome has great eyeshadow that stays put all day without creasing. they also have the best mascara for sensitive eyes, and it doesn't flake or give you ';racoon eyes'; at the end of the day. if you are on a budget though, maybelline eyeshadows are good and definately ';great lash'; in blackest black. if your eyes are dark brown, wear any eyeshadow that ISN'T brown to bring out your eyes. most makeup lines now tell you which shades are best for your eye color on the package.
I really love and stick with maybelline colors. they tend to be so rich and FULL of shimmer without it being glittery. I also love lancome eyeshadow as I have VERY oily lids and it stays put through anything
I have brown eyes too and I love Mary Kay eyeshadow. I use a light black or brown pencil eyeliner and then the rusty Mary Kay eye shadow powder toward the base. don't put it on the whole lid, keep it mostly to the base and show off your natural color toward the top. I think the more natural the look the better while still showing off nice color.

Sephora.com has TONS of eye shadow choices and there are even some brands that sell palettes to compliment the color of your eyes. Some of my favorite brands are Urban Decay and MAC. If your shadow has a tendency to melt/slide off I strongly suggest using an eye shadow primer so it will stay put!

use max factor eye colours!! wet the aplicator brush then use the wet brush to apply the colour to your eyes. very very very affective!!!! give it a go.

lancome has great eyeshadow that stays put all day without creasing. they also have the best mascara for sensitive eyes, and it doesn't flake or give you ';racoon eyes'; at the end of the day. if you are on a budget though, maybelline eyeshadows are good and definately ';great lash'; in blackest black. if your eyes are dark brown, wear any eyeshadow that ISN'T brown to bring out your eyes. most makeup lines now tell you which shades are best for your eye color on the package.
I really love and stick with maybelline colors. they tend to be so rich and FULL of shimmer without it being glittery. I also love lancome eyeshadow as I have VERY oily lids and it stays put through anything
I have brown eyes too and I love Mary Kay eyeshadow. I use a light black or brown pencil eyeliner and then the rusty Mary Kay eye shadow powder toward the base. don't put it on the whole lid, keep it mostly to the base and show off your natural color toward the top. I think the more natural the look the better while still showing off nice color.

i would say stay with the natural colors...wear lighter colors...try a alvendar a light green even...some brown eye have a bit of grean in them and then it'll pick it up an dlook like you are wearing colored contacts or something. golds are nice too though. i have med blue eyes with yellow in them...so i wear blues and lemon color greens to bring out the yellowish in my eyes...gets a lot of compliments.What color eyeshadow looks good with dark brown eyes?

Urban Decay Primer Potion is the best primer by far. My record is having bright blue eyeshadow on for 15 hours without having to touch it up. A good cream eyeshadow would be Bloom. Then have them in pots as well as in tubes. Some other brands that carry cream eyeshadow (and I'm talking good quality brands, not the ones at Walgreen's that will destroy the skin on your lids), Nars, Dior, Urban Decay and Guerlain. As far as the cheap brands, I'm really not sure what to tell you. I don't look at those brands because of the chemicals and fillers that will make my lids itch and feel gross. I prefer a quality product that will last me ten times as long and be ten times as effective. If you want quality in a brand, you may need to bit the bullet and go with something that is made to work. Good luck!

The added fillers (instead of pure pigments and natural ingredients) will encourage premature aging, will interfere your skins natural healing and will soak into your eyes themselves (especially if you aren't using a primer) and do the same kind of damage to your eyeballs. Also, since these are mostly fillers instead of pigments and binding agents, they will fall off your lids or be very prone to creasing at the lid. I work as a makeup artist, and while people don't want to believe that the pricier brands are better in all areas, it is true. I used to use the cheap brands before I switched, and I'm spending the same amount of money in the long run (more money up front, but they don't go bad, last forever and don't loose their pigments) and having much better skin for it. If you have any specific question you can email me. It's not like I encourage spending tons of money, but you can get good quality products that you would be able to afford. Some low quality eyeshadows can really destroy the skin on your eyelids.

Where can I get good black eyeshadow?
Like really dark, non shiny, black eyeshadow that lasts for quite a while before I have to re-apply it, and for hopefully not much more than $15? Because the crap that im using really isin't working out all that well.

Try Black Tied or Carbon from MAC. Carbon is a bit more matte. And like one of the other VERY SMART girls suggested, use a base. Fluidline works great, or even just Urban Decay's Primer Potion.

For 15 buck you can get MAC. I know you don't want to hear that, but it is the best. You can use it for Eye Liner too, as long as you have and eyeliner brush.
There is something else you can do to keep your eyeshadow on.
1) Always put lotion on your face, especially your eyelids too. Use an unscented lotion. (Let Dry)
2) Use cover up / foundation on the eyelid before any application
3) Use Powder on the Lid
4) Start applying.
5) Onces you have a base down, take your powder pad and gently pat some more powder on the lid.
6) Do you have any brushes for correct applications?

What are some really good bright eyeshadow brands?
Besides Mac?? I've been wanting to try some new eyeshadows but I don't know whats worth my money and whats not. I like very bright vibrant colors, or dark colors that's don't look worn out. All in all, Im just looking for eyeshadows that hold great color and that are not extremely pricey.

Urban Decay. It's the absolute best brand out there. Their products are 100% natural, but don't sacrifice any pigment. There shades are amazing and they have the best variety (as well as names!). If you're strapped for cash the best solution is NYX. Their eyeshadows come in a wide selection of colours, are super pigmented and incredibly inexpensive. You can buy them at a lot of different drugstores or online at cherryculture.com. I prefer to order from Cherryculture as they are typically cheaper than in stores.

Urban Decay. It's the absolute best brand out there. Their products are 100% natural, but don't sacrifice any pigment. There shades are amazing and they have the best variety (as well as names!). If you're strapped for cash the best solution is NYX. Their eyeshadows come in a wide selection of colours, are super pigmented and incredibly inexpensive. You said no MAC but they really are the industry leader for shadows :)
Try Black Tied or Carbon from MAC. Carbon is a bit more matte. And like one of the other VERY SMART girls suggested, use a base. Fluidline works great, or even just Urban Decay's Primer Potion.

For 15 buck you can get MAC. I know you don't want to hear that, but it is the best. You can use it for Eye Liner too, as long as you have and eyeliner brush.
There is something else you can do to keep your eyeshadow on.
1) Always put lotion on your face, especially your eyelids too. Use an unscented lotion. (Let Dry)
2) Use cover up / foundation on the eyelid before any application
3) Use Powder on the Lid
4) Start applying.
5) Onces you have a base down, take your powder pad and gently pat some more powder on the lid.
6) Do you have any brushes for correct applications?
