Depends on skin tones - but basic rule of thumb
Blue eyes = Brown shadows
Green eyes = plum shadows

If im not mistaken you have sort of a hazel colour like me.
I like to wear alot of eyeshadow but what you could do is try to use a green- blue colour and coloured eyeliner lightly .
thats what i used to do and it looked great . But its all about trial and error.
