MAC is extremely a great brand to use... Laura Mercier is another... Stila... NARS....





For a better inexpensive brand, NYX is a great buy and goes over great over the eye. I would recommend wearing a primer over the lid like Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion... or if that's unavailable... concealer.
MAC is the wayyy to go, no other brand has the abundance of textures and colors.
